In the year 2018, Malaysia Pineapple Industry Board (MPIB or LPNM) has allocated RM2 million under the New Wealth Resources initiative to develop four more MD2 pineapple seeders in a total area of 16 hectares. It is estimated that 800,000 MD2 seed will be channeled to the businessman.
