SACHA INCHI - THE INCREDIBLE PLANT

THE SACHA INCHI PLANT IS MOST POTENT PLANT-BASED SOURCE OF OMEGA-3S ON EARTH. The Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia Volubilis) or commonly know as Sacha Inchi, Sacha Peanut, Mountain Peanut, Inca peanut or Daao Inca is a perennial plant with somewhat hairy leaves. At Andes Mountain, Meandering River deep in Peru and Ecudador’s forests grew a mysterious star-shaped fruit, is indigenous to the Peruvian Amazon for over 3,000 years. The Incas first discovered it and regarded it as a treasure to be used only by royalties. Thus gained its name as “Inca fruit”. Today, it is called “Sacha Inchi”. It contains the highest quality, rich concentration of unsaturated fats Omega 3 (48%), Omega 6 (36%), Omega 9 (9%), proteins and fiber. Sachi Inchi is highly digestible (more than 96%) and also rich in antioxidants Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol), Vitamin A and Iodine all of which are essential for good health. Sacha Inchi seeds contain exceptionally good quality protein given that they are rich in essential and non-essential aminoacids. It contains nothing that is toxic or damaging to health so there is no restriction on human consumption. The blog "Anim Agriculture Technology" writes about the incredible plant on earth.

The raw oval seeds grow inside a hard shell within a very unique and geometric 4-7 star-shaped pod, which turns from green to dark brown in color upon maturity. If you look closely at the shelled seeds you can actually see the curved line indentation where the seed was physically attached to the pod exterior. The plant has heart shaped leaves which are considered a medicinal herb for the skin. They are known to be used with the raw ground seeds by native Amazonian women for use as a skin cream. Archaeological evidence dates the use of sacha inchi back to the pre-Inca civilization. The Incas and other Peruvian tribes, like the Chanca Indians, were also known to extract the oil and roast the seeds for consumption as a nut or prepared flour. Thanks...
